In the previous section, we installed and configured the Subversion Server.

On the clientside, what we want is TortoiseSVN in order to talk with the browser.

What is it?

  • TortoiseSVN is a Shell Extension.
  • Use its RepoBrowser to:
    • browse existing projects
    • Set up new projects,
  • Easily
    • Check in/out/update work
    • Rename/delete files
    • Take snapshots,
    • Switch between snapshots,
    • Tag safe copies.
    • No CommandPrompt typos.
    • Adds pretty status icons.
  • Download and install it:
