VistaDb is slowly, but surely, gaining converts, and is definately considering when looking for a database solution.

The same size as SQL Server Compact, with a lot of the features of SQL Server Express, what's not to like about it?!?

Cross Db LINQ to SQL Provider

NOt exactly the same as having a VistaDb specific LINQ to SQL provider(actually, maybe this is a better route, in the end...) but there is a CodeProject to make a Db independent Linq To SQL solutions...

Worth knowing about and following up.

Note: Not 100% sure, but pretty sure this still doesn't solve problem of missing plumbing required to have LINQ to SQL on Compact Framework as well (ie: even if cross-Db, it's not cross-platform)...

Is there a LINQ to SQL provider?

At the current time (June 2009) I don't think there is one -- although they talked about having one soon here...
